MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Center for Geospatial Technology is to promote, facilitate and support the application of geospatial technologies in interdisciplinary research, education, and community service.

 

VISION STATEMENT

The Center for Geospatial Technology will become nationally recognized as a leader in the application of geospatial technologies.

The Center for Geospatial Technology will:

  • conduct quality research to address important issues on a local, regional, national, international and global scale,
  • provide access to geospatial information through the development of a geospatial data clearinghouse,
  • foster technology transfer in support of regional economic development,
  • prepare students for a leadership role in public or private enterprise
